Library Shop Express Opens

On Wednesday, June 22, the Friends of Main Library officially opened the Library Shop Express. Susan Sawyer, Friends of Main Library President and David Jennings, the Akron-Summit County Public Library Director were on hand to cut the ribbon.
The Library Shop Express, an extension of the nearly 15 year-old Library Shop on Main, will be open on the second floor of Main Library on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5 – 8 pm. It’s the perfect location for Main Library visitors to grab a cold soda, office supplies, greeting cards and other gift items. The only thing you won’t find at the Library Shop Express are the thousands of gently used books for sale in the Library Shop on Main on the first floor.
